Killing grassy weeds in a grass lawn usually kills the grass, too. Sorry for that bad news. Can you get your camera about 3 inches away from the weed and take another picture? Do you have a real camera and not a phone camera? Sometimes those big lenses take better pictures than the pencil eraser sized lenses.

The Bayer product you have is only killing the broadleaf weeds like dandelions, clover, spurge, chickweed, and other non-grass weeds. Now that those are gone you can stop doing that.

This is the first time I have used a lawn weed killer. I was skeptical at first but I have found that the Bayer product has done a good job of preserving lawn and killing weeds at the same time.

I am going to sow a 20/80 Blue Grass/Rye mix like they use on sports fields.

I might be tempted to try a crabgrass killer and see if that responds--it's already taken some damage just from the Bayer.

I'd only do that if I couldn't get a positive ID on the weed, however (and I'm lousy at weed ID).
