Spray next year, if it survives the winter. You planted pretty late. Does it freeze where you are? I planted bermuda on labor day a couple of years ago and lost it all to winter freeze.

It was late but I had the seed so went ahead. It freezes here of course but not every night and maybe not even each week. We still have at least 1.5 mos till first frost at least and it is already up pretty good. More worried about the weeds than frost. I think you are a full zone colder than me so that probably makes a difference.

When the grass is good and dormant (after a couple of freezes), go out and hit anything green with round-up. Don't forget to put down pre-emergents in the spring and you should be good next year. I also do a pre-emergent in the summer and fall and not one weed in the lawn.
