| I do not have much success using granular fertilizer. I always seem to spill it which ends up giving me burn spots.
Can I use Scotts liquid turf builder in the late fall, after my last cutting of the lawn, when the grass will no longer grow? Does the grass have to be actively growing to use this liquid fertilizer? I want the lawn to be able to store the nitrogen for the winter but don't know if this form of fertilizer will hurt the lawn when it's no longer growing. Thanks |

| No, you need to use a quick release granular that is absorbed by the roots. The blades at that point in the year are basically dormant. |
