| Nice pictures of a great looking lawn. How does the aerator attachment work? I am not really familiar with a mantis tiller but I would imagine that it spins pretty fast. Will it try to till the ground instead of aerate it if you aren't careful with it? Looks like it did a great job getting up all the thatch. I could use something like this for my yard. I did it all with a rake and about broke my back in the process. |

| Hi, Thanks for the comments. I like my Mantis a lot. Used for light 'earth moving' (sloping ground away from house.)... all sorts of stuff. Actually, it doesn't spin fast at all. It is geared (3 speeds). Because the spring steel fingers on the dethatcher are so mild, you can be pretty much uncareful with it. On the other hand, the aerator tines, you do have to be careful. They will tear up the ground if you aren't always moving the tiller. Basically, the dethatcher replaces the tines in operation. Steel fingers 'comb' the lawn as you pull back on it.
