accidently scalped bermuda 2 days ago is this bad? please help

Hey guys i accidently scalped my yard yesterday without thinking my bermuda will be going dormant soon i used a reel mower and took it from 3inches to like 1 inch and now there is nothing but roots and crowns everywhere my yard is bermuda sod. So do u think it will cause permanent damaGe to the grass

No it will not cause permanent damage to your grass. You should give it a good drink of water and then leave it alone and let it recover. If you left the clippings on top you will want to remove them before you water.

So, why was the bermuda at a 3 inch height in the first place? Is this a hybrid bermuda like Tifway 419?

No problem there is still lots of growing time left. If it has been at least say 20 days since you last fertilized it, an dat least 30 days before your are first frost date give it a shot of fertilizer, keep it watered, and MOWED.

well i was keeping it at 1 1/2 inch with my push reel mower and then every month raised it a lil bit cause it was getting harder and thicker to mow so now i got a mclane 10 blade but it scalped it lol
