I have tilled my lawn, added the proper amendments according to the USDA soil test recommendations, seeded, and mulched with straw. I have sprinklers running over about 80% of the lawn 3 times daily for 10 minutes each time. I have all tall fescue seed, and it has been 7 days since I spread seed.
I am seeing germination in the shaded spots that are in direct contact with the sprinklers, and that's it. the shaded spots without sprinkers and the full sun spots with sprinklers haven't shown any activity at all. it has left definitive lines in my yard where grass starts and ends. is this bad? are the bare spots hopeless, or does fescue germinate at different rates? Please help! Thanks.
