Poa trivialis

Have light green rapidly growing patches of green in my lawn. Have been battling for years. Only attempted killing and reseeding each fall has kept me in the game. Assuming it's poa triv. Problem is I spray with round up and get a brown area but within the brown are fine blades of green grass which I think is still poa triv just laughing at the roundup. Even after a second spray I can't seem to kill it all confirmed by the next year where the seed starts off strong but thru the season it reset abolishes itself. I'm ready to give up and let it take over the lawn
