I have an area that is irrigated but due to the hot summer I put priority(and water) on other areas of the lawn. Now this particular area is looking all bunched with the heartiest survivors. Question is with this patchy bumpy area how well would slit seeding work? Would I be better off trying to seed with a light disc or a machine(slit seeder)? I am trying to avoid roundup and tilling. This area does not need to be turf quality, maybe a crested wheat grass to replace the slow fescues that have survived. Region is 5.
