3 Weeks after Renovation - Now What?

Hello,
Here are some pictures of my latest lawn renovation. I am a little over 3 weeks into the renovation and have a few questions.

What I did: I used Roundup on the entire lawn three times, with about a week apart. After the kill-off, I de-thatched and core aerated. One week later I applied and inch of Compro and rolled flat. That week I spread my seed and starter fertilizer and raked in the seed and rolled again. The front yard gets full sun during the summer and little shade in the fall from the neighbor's tree. I was watering 3 times a day and have cut back to twice a day.

My questions are:

1. Seedlings are about 2 inches tall. When should I mow? I have read that the first mowing should be at around 3" in height. Just want to confirm.

2. Watering: I have a sprinkler system. The 1st two weeks, I watered 3 times a day for 5 minutes each. At 9:00 AM, 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM. Now I am watering 2 times a day. I have stopped the 6:30 PM watering. There were a few spots that I added seed last week. These seedlings are sprouting now. When should I cut back to once a day or once every other day?

3. Second application of nitrogen: When should I apply the second application of nitrogen? Should I apply it this weekend (Oct 13, 2012) or is it too early? Should I wait one more week?

4. Winterizer? Should I apply a Winterizer or will that be too much N too soon?

5. What else am I missing?

Next year I would like to start organic. But that may be for another thread.

Also, thank you to tiemco, kidhorn, nearandwest and jvallee for all the advice. Couldn't do it without you!

RE: 3 Weeks after Renovation - Now What?

1. Yes, when it's 3 inches tall, mow it down to 2 with a very sharp blade, and bag the clippings. Careful when you make turns, do them on the driveway or neighbors lawn if possible.

2. I would probably stay at twice a day for the next week if it's sunny and dry. Obviously with periods of rain you can shut it off.

3. I would fertilizer after you mow it once or twice which should be towards the end of the month.

4. Winterizer gets put down when topgrowth has stopped, which is weather dependent. Probably around the end of November, or sometime in early December for you. Be sure to use all quick release nitrogen. I have read late season N applications on new grass can raise your incidence of snow mold, but where you live it probably shouldn't be an issue.

5. Not much, you have a nice lawn started, good work, looks very even. Next year it will be darker and thicker.
