After that you might consider watering every day for a week to see what sprouts. If you get more bermuda coming back, you can spray more round up.

I sliced and seeded today , Im not expecting good results . There was alot more thatch than what I had anticipated , even after raking and bagging the clippings . Im not holding my breath its going to turn out but you never know .

My yard was always tan thru the winter time anyways so if the KBG doesnt take hold , theres always Spring ! Ill just look at it as having a head start on lawn preperation for next year . I may even truck in some new topsoil and REALLY start over .

I'm in southwest Ohio as well and did the same thing you are doing two weeks ago, my new KBG is just now coming up....

Only bring in topsoil if you want to rearrange your drainage, because topsoil will always rearrange your drainage.

If you want to improve the soil you have, start using organic fertilizer like alfalfa pellets. Apply at a rate of 20 pounds per 1,000 square feet as often as you like. 3x per year is a minimum and 52x per year is about a practical maximum.
