Weed ID!

Does anyone know what this weed is, and if so how can I control it? It's just starting to come up in my yard (bermuda), even though I put down Amaze pre-em a month ago. I had a huge infestation of this stuff last winter, but it went away this summer when the weather got hot. Any ideas??

this is another picture. Flower looks similar to dandelion, but the leaves/stem is different.

Here is dandelion. I have it all!

Maybe annual or perennial sowthistle?

Here is a link that might be useful: Sowthistle

Spiny annual sow thistle, with the yellow inflorescence (flower). I'm not sure about the best product to use for control.

Thanks guys. Is this treatable during the winter with anything like weed-b-gone?

RE: Weed ID!

Weed B Gon is labeled for the control of sow thistle. However, I would suspect that an application during the winter would have little effect on this weed. I would think that for best results, treatment should be applied when the weeds are young and actively growing, which would be during late Spring or early Summer.
