| I'm on the Alabama Gulf Coast, zone 8b.
This year I had several trees removed from the back yard and filled in a lot of low areas with cheap top soil. The yard still has several large bare spots that has not covered with grass yet. I would like to put out some St. Augustine seeds on the bare areas but need to know when is the best time to do it? Also, should I fertilize the bare areas before seeding or after? |

| I'm not in any way an expert, just a disclaimer. St Augustine doesn't put out a seed, you're going to have to sod or sprig it. The fertilizer question is best left to experts :) |

| I'm not a warm season guy, but I think most work with warm season lawn is done right before summer and during the summer. Did you get seed? |

| You'll be able to find St Augustine seed right next to the Unicorn food. ie, don't bother looking for it. |
