You should never have to seed again. If you have thin spots, then almost certainly you have too much shade in those areas. Bermuda grass on the north side of a short tree will thin out noticeably. Reseeding will not help those areas.

If you decide to go ahead and add more seed next "spring," wait until summer. Early summer, when the soil is very warm, is the time to seed bermuda.
