| Hi everyone!
I am new to this forum so if this is in the wrong place, I apologize. I have recently planted some tall fescue and I have noticed these little green sprouts popping up everywhere. I am worried by the way they look, as if they are a weed or clover or something. I am hoping someone here can help identify if this is a weed or if this is what a baby fescue looks like. The subject I am talking about is right in the center of the picture. Thanks in advance! Rob |

| That little green thing with two leaves is a weed. They are very common when renovating, and you shouldn't worry about it as most will die with the first frost. If you live in an area where frost doesn't exist, you will be able to kill them when your fescue is mature enough to handle selective herbicides. |

| Thank you sooo much! That makes me feel so much better knowing they are common and will likely die off. I live near Charlotte, NC and lately it has been getting pretty chilly. Hopefully that will take care of most of it. I also spread some lime yesterday so hopefully that will help as well. Thanks again! Rob |
