Best late season fertilizer option

Posted by Ankeny none (My Page) on

I was wondering what one might recommend for a late season fertilizer application. I have been using Milorganite all season long. I core aerated and over seeded in early fall. I live in central Iowa. Any advice one can offer to help me get a jump on next Spring would be great.

Thanks

Any winterizer fertilizer will do. The idea is to get nitrogen into the grass so it can be used in the spring.

Ideally you want to put it down a few weeks before the grass goes dormant so the grass has time to absorb it.
