Lawn story short: St Augustine turning yellow

Posted by gavrax 9 (My Page) on

This is my first post, trying to get an answer for my lawn problem.
We resod the front part of our lawn this spring and we noticed like a month ago part of the grass turning yellow and dying in a strange circular pattern around the oak in the middle of the lawn. The circle is aprox. 2 yards away from the oak and 1 feet wide. The grass is turning yellow from the tip of the blade and dies.
I suspect a fungus, but which fungi treatment is good?
Thank you for your input!

Go to this web site and follow the flow chart. It is pretty good diagnostic tool. Good luck.

Good find, TW.

Circular pattern is 99% sure to be a fungal disease.
