| I posted this question earlier on a different forum without any response ... so here's my question for the fine folks over here at this forum:
I'm going to stop pushing my little rotary fertilizer spreader around my 1 1/2 acre lawn and buy a pull-behind rotary spreader. I have not seen any clear answer to which one to buy based upon Internet "searches" so I hope you can provide some advice based upon your personal experience with pull-behind broadcast spreaders. My current spreader holds approx a 5 gallon bucket worth of fertilizer, estimated at 40 lbs/bucket ... so I figure I need a 150 - 200 lb spreader to carry me through without repeated fill ups. I'm looking for a quality product and not something which will deteriorate over the course of a couple of years use. Your advice is appreciated. |

| I would probably take a look at what Lesco has to offer. They cater to lawn care professionals and carry equipment as well as seed and fertilizers. |

| I know a couple guys that have Earthway spreaders. I've borrowed both and like them very well. I would probably buy one if I could no longer borrow. |

| Thanks for your input. I was leaning toward the AGRIFAB 175lb spreader but checking out reviews of AGRIFAB are both good and bad. Problem is, the "bad" reviews cause me concern due to the fact that dissatisfied customers have to battle AGRIFAB to get a portion of their money back if the product does not perform as advertised. I'd rather deal with a company who has [at least] a one week satisfaction guarantee. The best way, IMO, is to buy from a reputable dealer face-to-face who will provide some sort of guarantee. So, I'm still checking out your recommendations. |
