You'll be fine. Temperature rebounds are normal and, like you, I winterized a bit ago. Today was 70, Wednesday will feature considerable snowfall.

Your timing was actually just about right, if a little on the late side. Close enough.

Happy Thanksgiving! A snowier than average one, this year.

Noticed after snow melted I have some top growth. Going to mow it one more time tomorrow. Very strange fall this year.... My neighbor has a dogwood tree that's still hanging on to half its leaves. Oh well. Thought I would be done by now

Your snow melted? Good for you, we still have mostly-snowcover, although I do expect melt-out this week.

It's not a problem to have a little top growth post winterization, it happens to me a lot. Normally, in spring to fall, feeding would set off a large amount of growth. In this case, most of it still went to winterize the grass.

And yes, this is a very strange year. I have a pear tree currently de-leafing onto snowcover. I'm going to have to mow once more to remove the leaves--and the tiny bit of growth I got during those two warm days.

Don't we all? :) With the kinks in the jet stream, there's an off chance we'll get very warm, very wet December weather. It's not likely, but could happen.

If it does, we might all be winterizing a second time. But timing there is critical...when that breaks, it tends to break fast and hard into winter. It's usually easier just to ride with what you have, realizing that it's far better than nothing.
