We get the very occasional post from Oz or some other country below the equator, but otherwise, it's pretty quiet. Winter questions include issues with road salt and snow mold...oh and "why is morph's lawn still green in December?"

It does get pretty quiet once winterization is done. Lawn care more or less shuts down except for possibly a little extra leaf mulching.

Even Morph's lawn has suffered this year; the last Polar Express dropped temperatures to 12 degrees. I took some surface damage. So yes, green, but not the deep, dark green of some years.

I would guess after the new years there is maybe some talk of upcoming plans and ideas for the spring/summer. Maybe?

Boat: LOL Me too.that is one of the deficiencies of this forum.. You should be able to get notification of new posts but you can't.

We do get people trying to get the jump on their spring seeding. We get to tell them they missed the opportunity for seeding in the fall and give them the probable expectation for the lawn if they seed in the spring (weeds and little grass survival).

The golf season begins in January and lots of the advertising goes to Scott's trying to sell seed and fertilizer. It's okay to buy then but don't try to use it even if they seem pushy about it.

hogan_nj, makes a good point about winter being a good time to remind folks that dormant seeding is happening right now. :)
