| I have a Tif 419 lawn. In the front yard there's a maple tree. Due to shade (the lawn is thinning) and roots poking through the surface am thinking of taking down the tree. Any suggestions on what to plant in place of the maple? Something slow growing, narrow canopy, deep roots? It's a fairly small front yard. Any suggestions? |

| Columnar Conifers and Ball Cypress come to mind and should work in your area. |
