Sounds fuel related. Remove and check the bowl nut for dirt or varnish, especially in the very tiny holes.

That's right. You have to use the soft steel wire from a wire tie (like on a loaf of bread wrapper) to rod out the very small bleed near thew end of the threads, then blast out with carb spray. You have to use a fueal additive to prevent build-up on this part. Seafoam, Marvel Mystery Oil are good but I prefer a dedicated stabilizer with cleaners, like Sta-Bil Marine blue concentrate. Actually, I use this and MMO together.
