Yes Power Products was taken over by Tecumseh. In the the 50's these little two cycle engines were popular on the low end mowers. Sears sold a lot of them in the 50's, but may store brands used them. The original throw away mower. Not overly durable but cheap enough to buy a new one when the old one quit.

That one looks to be restorable. If the engine is not stuck and it has compression it would be a big plus. Power Products 2-cycle engines (horizontal shaft) were very popular in the early days of Go Karts. I would use Lawn-Boy 2-cycle oil at 16:1 unless I found out different. That's one 8 oz can to one gallon of gas. You would probably be okay using a modern synthetic blend 50:1 oil at double mix, or 25:1.
