| I have a Toro Wheelhorse 520H with an Onan P220G-I engine.
For the last couple years, it has started shutting down on me, like I suddenly turned the key off. It started out doing it just once in a while, but now it will only run for about 5 minutes. Sometimes it will start right back up, and sometimes it won't start for a day or a week. I've been planning on changing the coil, but after reading some other message forums, I've read that it might be the coil pickups around the flywheel. Any ideas??? Ty |

| Check the 9 wire electrical connector for corrosion. This is a common problem with the 520H. Jumper around any corroded connections. Be sure to use stranded wire as a jumper. I made the mistake of using a solid wire as a jumper and after a few years the crimp on connector started arcing and apparently ccaused a problem down the line. My tractor is now in the shop facing a $500.00 repair bill. |
