Simplicity or Bad Boy

I'm looking to a 50"-60" lawn mower in the $5000-$6000 range. I've narrowed it down to two or three models. Simplicity ZT4000, Simplicity Citation and the Bad Boy ZT. I really like the suspension the Simplicity comes with but the ZT4000 is only a 48" cut for $5500. The Bad Boy doesn't have any suspension but seems to be heavier built but has a 60" cut for $5300. The Simplicity Citation is a 52" cut but is $7500. The Symplicity's have a hydraulic transmission and the Bad Boy has a hydro gear trans axle drive. Any suggestions?

When I was shopping for a ZTR, I was more impressed by the Bad Boy for their ruggedness over the Simplicity. I'm not sure about the newest models but I would not sacrifice build quality just to get the suspension.

I'd buy a Bad Boy machine from that "Cutie" in their commercials. She sounds really sincere, and earnest to boot! RJ

Bad Boy for sure. They build all of their products in Batesville AR. Bad Boy has not cheapened their line to accomodate the box stores and that has helped them keep their quality high.

Agree with above on the Bad Boy. I bought the CZT 60" in 2011. Its been rock solid to date.

I would recommend that you pay the $400 or so to upgrade the seat to their top of the line Grammer adjustable seat. Trust me you won't regret that upgrade.. You can mow wide open at top speed and soak up the bumps like riding in a Cadillac.
