Can anyone tell me if a specific manufacturer produced the gray deck Craftsman self propelled walk behind mowers around 2004 to 2005 ? Someone offered me one and I'm wondering if its worth picking up. Thanks

The model number would tell us. Likely a Murray or EHP product, condition is more important than brand.

Whether it is worth picking up really depends on the condition as canguy said and the price. Assuming it starts and runs reasonably well be sure to check the drive mechanism, wheels and condition of the deck.

It was a 372290 . The engine ran perfectly - started just fine on the first or second pull. Very smooth and no smoke. However, the gear box helical and worm gears were both worn real bad. So I put a sign on that said "FREE" and wheeled it out to the curb. Someone just scooped it up even after I told them about it. Oh well. Thanks to everyone who repled to my post.
