Did you hit anything with the blade? Is gas getting to the engine? Did you check the flywheel key? Was the key sheared. If so, it will be out of time, and you can pull yer arm off and it won't start. do you get a kick-back when you pull the starter rope? You will have to do some dismantling of the shrouding and the flywheel nut, to find out if the key is sheared.
If any of these questions pertain to your engine, then thats what to check.

OK it is a craftsman model engine model #143.424012 it work fine last year this year pulled it out of the shed and changed the oil and new gas went to start it and nothing so i changed the spark plug check for spark and its good but when i go to start it it sounds like it want to start but doesn't so i cleaned the carb and made sure i am getting gas and i am it almost like i am getting to much gas if that is possible i am lost
