The Toro will mulch or bag very well with the factory blade. What makes you think the mulching performance needs fixing? My reccommendation would be to pick a mower and not try to improve the performance before you have actually tried the machine. My choice would be the Toro.

I was'nt questioning the Toro's mulching ability. I was asking if the Snappers' can match with a Ninja blade, or any other suggestion. I have tried, and seen, the Toro SR's capabilities since my neighbor has one, which Ive used. Ive heard testimonial on both brands but IF I can get the Snapper to mulch as well as a TORO and bag even better, doesnt common sense say to go Snapper, with both models costing close to same?

The ninja blade does quite well mulching, but doesn't give the renowned Snapper bagger performance. The Toro recycler design does more than just mulch. The recycler kickers modify the airflow below the deck to re-cut and hide the clippings. The recycler kickers also slightly lessen the amount of clippings that are carried into the bag, yet you won't see the excess on the lawn.

I think that any differences in mulching or bagging performance will be so minor as to be unnoticable unless you really look for them. If you are mulching 80% of the time then get the mower that is marketed as a mulcher...the Toro. Trust me the SR machines bag superbly. And I think you will find the Snapper will do a comparable job as well. It sounds like you favor the Snapper. Just get one and start mowing with the standard blade. Hold off on improving the blade until you find there is a problem with mower performance on your lawn.
