Snapper high wheel 26' lawn mower

I found this mower on cragslist, it appears to be in good condition but I think he is asking to much for the mower. There was an article back in 2007, that mower was a 2002, he got it for $250. The one I am looking at is a 2000 and he is asking $450. How much do you think it is worth? I don't know alot a snapper mowers and would appreciate your advice. Thanks.

grief! For that kind of money, I'd go buy a new machine!

In the lawn mower trade, and all that, just remember what old P.T. Barnum said, as he filled the baby's bottle: "There's another sucker born every minute!"
Think, man---why buy a used machine, with all of the attenuated problems contained in it and on it, for that kind of money, when you can put the cash toward a new one!
