20" tru-cut roller bar

Anyone ever tried to make a homemade roller bar for a tru-cut reel? I just bought a used tru-cut but putting a new $200 front roller bar on a used reel seems a little silly.

Ok so no one knows about a DIY roller. Got another ?: just got my mower back from the shop I bought it from and tried to fire it up but it won't start. What am I missing? Honda 4.0 hp engine.
