Craftsman Lawn tractor cannot start

I have a 8 year old Craftsman Lawn Tractor 21HP, 48". Model: 917.273280

It has been running fine. Several weeks ago when I tried to start it 1st time after winter, it cranked a little bit but eventually started. It happened same last week. But today when I tried that again, it just cranks, engine will not start. The "freewheel" does not run. I tried to use my car to jump start it, same result. I just replaced battery last year.

I tried with new spark plugs and no luck there.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Kevin

Don't know what you are saying. What is "freewheel"? Do you mean flywheel? That doesn't make any sense because you say "it just cranks"?

Walt,

Thanks for the reply. I mean "flywheel". Nothing runs, just hear the crank noise. Today I changed spark plug, I also changed solenoid, but no luck.

Thanks.
