Craftsman LT 2000 wont start

2009 LT 2000, serial # 091012ZD82531.

Mower has fire, fuel flow is fine, turns over but wont start. The parking safety switch operates properly but the seat switch does not ie: mower will turn over without depressing the seat switch. The mower was used a couple of days prior to this problem, ran fine, parked it and then this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Operator presents in the seat is not required to crank. Only 2 safeties are involved. The brake switch and the PTO switch. If the PTO is disengaged and the brake is depressed- it is set to crank. Why it is not starting is a different path. Do you have a way to check for spark? There is also a small solenoid below the carburetor. Can you here it click when the key is turned to on? Any question on the integrity of the fuel?The actual model # from below the seat would be the most help with your reply. Possibly 917XXXXXX
