I looked at the site and couldn't tell who makes the 'Toro' engine, but if I had to bet, I'd say it was China. They use two Honda engines - the 160cc OHC 'GCV' on homeowner models and the 190cc OHC 'GSV' on the pro model 22156. Honda engines are very good. I've had both kinds of Honda OHC engines, and if you can swing the 22156 with the 190cc commercial-grade OHC engine, you won't be sorry. The thing has an iron cylinder bore liner, ball-bearing mains and a massive crankshaft. I've been using mine since 2008. Actually Lawn-Boy brought this mower out in 2007. They only made a few hundred before Toro decided to paint it red instead of green and sell it under the Toro name. It's a heluva mower with it's traditional commercial features like sealed ball-bearing steel wheels with replaceable tires, steel brush guard, large fuel tank and manual throtle/choke. It could be the best mower ever made.
