Honda HRR2168VKA leaving trail of grass

I just bought this Honda HRR2168VKA and mowed my lawn. It is leaving a trail of grass coming from the right rear wheel? Why is it doing this? How do I fix this? Thank you.

It is processing too much grass. This time of year grass grows quickly so you may need to mow more frequently. Additionally you could try walking slower or reducing the width of the cut to reduce the volume of grass being chopped and pushed through to the bag.

My experience is that it takes a few mows to get used to your new mower. Also, you may want a dealer verify engine rpms are correct. Honda used to give specific mowing directions in their manual. IE clockwise VS counter clockwise when mulching. I don't think that I'm making this up....

You might be taking too deep of a cut. Try not to cut more than 1" at a time when mulching. If you have to cut deeper and/or the grass is wet, you'll need to discharge and come back when it dries and mulch or bag. I don't know if your model can discharge or if it needs the optional rear discharge chute.
