Troy bilt zero turn don't turn over all the way or slow

Hi. I have a Troy bilt zero turn with a kohler engine I bought from lowes. For a few years it dragged when starting but after a couple of partial turns it would go ahead and spin then start. Now it only does a couple partitial turns and stops. All you hear is the solenoid clicking. It acts as if battery is low when starting but that's not the case. Someone told me it was the solenoid. We replaced battery and solenoid. Still the same thing. Is it the starter now?

You need to do some serious checking before just jumping in and start replacing things. Have you tried jumping directly from your battery to the starter? Have you tried jumping from the battery terminal on the solenoid to the small terminal coming from the switch? Have you cleaned the ground cable connection to the frame? These and other checks will help determine where your trouble may be.

You really should post the model number of the engine. Zero turn with a Kohler engine from Lowes really doesn't tell us much.

Numbers of the engine yes. Seems as though it could be a compression release issue.
