| This one is a real puzzle. I have a model 8252 which is a self-powered 21". The front wheels have individual height adjusters, and the back wheels are raised or lowered by lifting the deck into a notch on an adjustment lever. The numbers of the slots on the lever are supposed to match the numbers on the front wheels, but it looks like they are off by one slot. If I do match the numbers, the rear is too high and the cut is not even. I measured the blade height and it is level when the fronts are one number higher than the rear. In fact, the rear number that matches in height is actually below the cut-out in the deck to get the blade level. Is this a mistake in the numbers stamped on the lever ??? Something isn't right about this. Can someone tell me what's going on here.
Thanks. |

| The front wheels are 6" dia and the rear are 8". Both are original and came with the machine. The owner's manual shows different size wheels, so I doubt that's it. Any other ideas ?? |

| ' Any other ideas ??' Yes. Set it level and use it regardless of the numbers. Must have been a defect. |
