Lawn boy deck swap

Hi I have an old Lawn Boy 7072 with the steel deck. The deck is starting to rust through. I am looking to swap it for an aluminum deck. I see them on E-bay all the time, I am just not sure how similar they were to one another. Anyone have any experience with this? Would any 21" F-series non self propelled aluminum deck work? Thanks for any thoughts.

The engine mounting plates are different between the steel decks and the cast decks. If you can get a deck with the plate still on it, you'll be all set to just swap the engine.
