If you have contortionist fingers and can wiggle the cable end into place plus snap the outer cable into the holder- it's a piece of ... cake! Cut the old cable parts out if you can.

Start with the tin on the bottom w/ the 4 10mm bolts. Removing the belt and rolling the transmission may help. If perchance you had one that had the adjustable cable, and extra tension was put on to compensate- you would want to replace the belt anyways. Honda anything recent with transmission or cable issues are criminal and the engineers should be held accountable!

YOUR right they should be hung by theis xxxxxx .Itook plate off & it under the pullley to close to get at. I think you have to remove the whole axle . Maybe i can splice the old cable together somehow. thanks anyway . jim
