| I purchased a rear propelled CRAFTSMAN Model 917377662 walk behind lawn mower in 2003 with a 6.5 HP (claimed) briggs & stratton engine. Due to health problems it was stored and unused the past two years. When I put gas in today, it leaked from the carburetor behind the air cleaner and also the from the priming bulb area. I understand my best bet is to replace the air cleaner base and get the needle/seat kit.
However, I am not sure what the exact B&S engine I got and Sears web site and owners manual are no help at all. I think its a 6.5 HP Quantum engine. The engine itself has the EPA info but I could not find any engine Model info. Anyone know what type of engine I got and where to buy the parts. Got any other recommendations? Thanks |

| It's a briggs & stratton 123k02-0258-e1 engine but I am not having much luck Googling for parts. |

| The first thing I would check is the float. Is it stuck from varnish? If you know how to remove the carb and clean it, I think the only part you'll need is carb cleaner. |

| That did the trick...thanks. Now to figure out how to get the right rear wheel to help the left rear wheel propel the mower. |
