| I have a 7 yr old Craftsman 'rider'.
Model - 917.273130. It has a Kohler 17 ohv. My problem is- I'm getting nothing when I turn the key, like the battery is 'dead'. Obviously, the first thing I did was make sure there was full charge on the battery.

| If briefly jumping the two large solenoid leads causes the starter to bump, it could be the safety switches, keyswitch or solenoid. Use battery jumper cables. Touch for a split second, just to see if starter bumps. |
