| Hi, I have a Toro 6.5 HP 22" rear drive gas power mower. It's equipped with an electric starter. When I use the pull cord, the mower starts ok. When I turn the key of the electric starter, the starter simply makes a single click sound. Nothing else happens.
Any idea what may be wrong? |

| It's most likely a very discharged battery. |

| Thanks. I think you are right. I got the lawn mower without a user manual. I just downloaded a copy from the internet and see that it says I should charge the battery once every 25 mow. It didn't occur to me I need to do that because my snowblower is the opposite. It doesn't have a battery and only need to be plugged in when I fire it up. I am glad it's something so simple. |

| Can you post the engine model and type numbers? This has been an ongoing issue with the Briggs ready start (no primer or manual choke.)The electric starter cannot generate enough speed for starting. |
