| Hello,
I have a Craftsman II riding mower. I was riding it today and hit a bump. The mower would not go forward or back but the engine was still running. There was a belt and a spring under the mower. I am assuming that it is the drive belt. What is the spring for? Is the repair difficult? |

| Well, the repairs are not too difficult for an experienced mechanic, with the proper tools, a floor jack (For raising the tractor, not your floor), and a lot of patience. A rudimentary education in mechanics is quite helpful, too. Also, a large box of tools will be helpful, along with the knowlege of how to use them in the places they are needed. somebody here will probably give you the address of where you can send to get the drawings of how the machine works, where everything is, in it, and where and how to send for manuals, etc. Be patient--somebody will be along to help. And, if you do get it fixed, please write and tell us! |
