| I was cutting my lawn this evening and my husband decided to be funny and hop on the seat with me. I drove for a bit but was being pushed into the steering wheel so stopped to make him get off. As he got off something from the front of the mower made a popping sound and I turned it off (this happened almost at the same time). When I tried to restart the mower however, nothing occurred. The engine did not click, no attempt to turn over at all. Any thoughts? |

| "Any thoughts?" Well, I guess you could find another husband w/ a working lawn tractor... My guess is whatever happened might have popped the fuse or damaged a switch in the safety circuit. the popping could be from the excess fuel burning. So check the fuse, would be normally behind the engine under the tower. Did the brake get punched down kind of hard? Double check the deck is disengaged. The deck being disengaged and the brake switch being activated is all that needs to happen safety wise in order to crank. If you need more assistance, please post the 917 # from below the seat. |
