| Hello! I have 3.5 acres of land smack dab in the city. The property is along a creek. About half of the land is even and the rest is mildly rough terrain. My very old Scotts riding mower has finally kicked the bucket so I'm looking for something new. I was thinking ZTR might be a good option? Don't really have a budget, but I want to buy just enough to cover the need. Nothing crazy.

| You don't mention how much needs to be mowed. If the grass is thick and a large area is involved a decent ZTR might be a good choice. I suggest talking to a local dealer. He can look at your needs and make suggestions. He will also service what he sells, a big plus. |

| When you have 3.5 acres to mow you have 3 choices: 1st ZTR 2nd ZTR 3rd ZTR Once you go ZTR you can never go back! Just look around and see what the professional landscapers use. You guessed it ZTR! |

| I agree with the zero turn with a 50" minimum deck for mowing that much acreage. If your land is rough, Simplicity/Ferris have the best suspension system. I personally have fallen in love with the joystick control on my County Clipper. It is super easy to master and allows you to use your off hand to push away branches and other overhanging objects. They also have a tip-up deck for maintenance and cleaning. |
