Craftsman 917 .272245 Brake /Clutch Adjustment

Posted by kirk39 (My Page) on

Recently my mower has started throwing the main drive belt
if the clutch is pushed in too quickly the Brake/clutch Rod assy does have some slop before it engages. There is a bunch of nuts and bolts and a spring on the back end cant find anything in manual about adjusting or do I just crank it down until slack is gone and hope that fixes the problem.
Thanks for any help

Please disregard this thread, there is no adjustment the only thing I see that could be the problem is the spring
will get a replacement and see if that fixes it
