kawasaki fb460v running fault

hi there ive got a walk behind Kawasaki fb460v hand pull start that starts ok but when you release the left hand drive lever the engine dies,the right hand drive is ok,sometimes its ok for 5 minutes then the fault occurs, as soon as you disengage drive its ok and only on left lever not right, any ideas ? thanks

It sounds like an interlock problem
