Congratulations! You have the most unique problem I've ever heard of. It brings back memories of 30 years ago when I walked outside after the end of second shift and a bunch of mechanics were checking out the 1948 Harley with a sidecar that a mechanic,a former flat track racer, had brought to work. They were looking for a victim and here I came. Asked me if I'd like a ride in a sidecar. I said, Sure. I heard alot of revving, loud mufflers, and the next thing I knew, I was up in the air at a 45º traveling down the entire length of the parking lot holding on for my life. Then around the corner and all the way back to a laughing bunch of guys. It was my experience of a hard tilt on two wheels with my primer bulb towards the sky.

ROFLMAO!!! srej; engine running out of gas. Tilt it all the way up on it's wheels with the primer bulb UP. Remove the brass bolt under the fuel bowl of the carburetor. Clean the hollow center of the bolt, the orice in the center of the hollow bolt, the larger through hole acoss it under the bolt head, and most importantly, the tiny bleed at the end of the threads that is on an angle. Strip a wire tie (like on a bread bag) and use the soft steel wire to rod the hole out then blast all holes with carb cleaner spray. Put the bolt back in and be careful on tightening - it strips easily. The mower should run now. If the bolt leaks gas, tighten 1/8 turn at a time just until it stops. On some engines you have to do this every couple of years.

I was so hoping this was it. I just don't have any of these bolts under the carb bowl?!?! I have the carb off the mower. Blastic bowl under metal housing has a bolt that enters from the front (see picture) of the plastic bowl but there are no holes in the bolt. The bolt tihgtens a spring and plastic pin that enters the center of the bowl. Is the bolt somewhere else ? Tecumseh 6.0HP

It's a diaphragm kit. That should fix it.
