Although I can't speak to that exact model, the comparable Ariens to me felt heavy. You will have to be the judge, but push down on the handle and get a feel of it yourself. Then imagine what it feels like on a rough lawn, pivoting around trees, grass in the bag etc. If you decide you like the mower, I think it probably is a well made machine.
