I have a Simplicity Broadmoor. Bought it in 2004. I give it a tune up every spring. Two years ago the boot on one side (for some reason that one has always been difficult to remove) began to tear. Last year it got a lot worse. I haven't done anything with the mower yet this year due to moving and other things.

I'd like to fix it, but I'm not sure what I need to do. The wires go directly into the engine and I'm not going to undertake that big of a job. Should I just tape it together? Do they make repair kits?
