Wow. Nice work. I've been doing that on my 21" mowers over the last few weeks. You're supposed to do it every year, but I don't. Dirty job, cleaning the factory grease and dirt out of the axle-end gears/ratchets and cleaning the drive wheels. I also hand-drill a 1/8" hole halfway up on the mower gearbox and shoot in all the Sten's #00 grease I can get in, then put in a short sheet metal screw with an O-ring under the head. When I slowly drill the hole using a hand drill, the shavings roll out of the hole in one piece so nothing gets into the case. Then I use spray white Lithium grease on the end gears and regular #2 white Lithium grease on the axles and drive gears. Been doing that for several years and nothing has broken down yet.
