Well, most 2-cycle oils already have fuel stabilizer, but that doesn't stop me. I use Sta-Bil Marine for Ethanol Fuels plus a healthy shot of Marvel mystery Oil when brewing up my 2-cycle fuel in addition to the regular amount of oil. My 4-cycle can gets the same treatment except no 2-cycle oil and 1/2 as much MMO. My autos just get the Sta-Bil. I have not worn out any engines of any type or had to replace or rebuild a carb since starting this regimen around 2004. No fuel injection service on vehicles, no catalytic converter trouble.
Costs me about $60 a year to do the autos. The outdoor power equipment cost is negligible.
